The workshops focus sharply on the use of timber in environmental sustainable design practice and the associated technical issues of efficient construction with the material in its various forms.
The issues of sustainable forest management, professional design practice, and timber used in structural and appearance applications are addressed on Day 1. Day 2 has a strong practice focus, examining the functional, design and detailing drivers in exemplary case studies and the primary technical issues association with project delivery: construction economy, design performance and detailing efficiency.
